If Revelation 17 was the death of world religion, Revelation 18 is the autopsy. Regardless of whether it appears to be spiritual or moral, false religion is still self rule. Anything built on “my way” will eventually collapse. Following Jesus is the exact opposite – He must increase, I must decrease. Listen to this teaching in Revelation 18 and ask the Spirit to search your heart. Is Christ truly on the throne, or is self still calling the shots?
